Skills For a Lifetime Program was established for children to create a greater
level of self-confidence in various social situations.

What
is the Skills
for a Lifetime Program?
The
skills for a lifetime
program is an educational experience that, once completed,
can provide an improved level of self-confidence.
Children want to know what is expected of them and this
course will provide a framework for their future.
This course teaches young people important dining and social
skills, which can play a large part in their social development.
The Skills for a Lifetime program is taught in two parts, each part consisting of five one hour classes.(The last class of Part II is a two hour session.) Part I is appropriate for children ages 7-18 and is taught in a co-ed setting. Part II is geared toward children in grades 6-9 and is taught in separate boys and girls classes. Separate classes are provided to allow students to appreciate their good points and concentrate on developing them.

Curriculum Part II
Part II is taught in seperate classes for boys and girls.
The girls' curriculum is as follows:

"What do I do With all These Forks?" (Table Etiquette & Place Settings)

There is also a Part III course available, it is geared towards students in grades 10-12. This set of classes focuses on topics like dating' public speaking and interviewing. This class is available by request. Use the Contact Us link on the left to get more information.
